Welcome

The Fort Gordon CUS (FG-CUS) Implementation was a collaborative planning effort among the Central Savannah River Area Regional Commission (CSRA-RC) — the local project sponsor — the Cities of Blythe, Hephzibah, Grovetown, and Harlem; the counties of Augusta-Richmond, Burke, Columbia, Jefferson, and McDuffie; state and federal agencies; the Department of Defense; the public and other local and regional stakeholders. The purpose of FG-CUS was to implement key recommendations from the 2019 Fort Gordon / Central Savannah River Area Joint Land Use Study to prevent encroachment, improve agency communication and determine the extent of nighttime artificial illumination. This project was funded by a grant from the Department of Defense (DOD), Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC).

This study was completed on May 31, 2023. This website provides an access point for all project-related documents to include reports, brochures, maps, and presentations.
